Operation Epic Flounder
Bibi and Big Orange are caught inside and there is a big set on the horizon.
Like President Biden’s “senior moment” during the 2024 presidential debate, historians will one day watch President Trump’s listless, eighteen-minute April Fool’s Day address and ask: why did America’s political, military, economic, and media leaders remain silent in the face of such dangerous delusion?
After Trump made his standard ad hominem attacks and hyperbolic claims, he still could not—or dared not—offer a coherent political object for America’s latest war of aggression in the Middle East. Instead, he asked us to “keep this conflict in perspective” and compared Operation Epic Fury to World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Iraq, then erroneously argued that this war was only 28 days long. In fact, this war is the culmination of the longest, most costly and unsuccessful war in American history—the almost twenty-five-year-long Global War on Terror.
Finally, Trump told Americans that Operation Epic Fury, like operations Enduring Freedom (2001), Iraqi Freedom (2003), New Dawn (2010), Odyssey Dawn (2011), Unified Protector (2011), Timber Sycamore (2012), Inherent Resolve (2014), Freedom’s Sentinel (2015), and Midnight Hammer (2025) before it, would make “the United States…safer, stronger, more prosperous and greater than it has ever been before.” How many times have we heard this? How long will it be before Bibi declares Turkey, Pakistan, or Yemen Israel’s next “existential threat,” then orders his American army to eliminate it? How long before Sunni and Shia Muslims unite and expand their asymmetrical strikes against the soft, infrastructural underbellies of Israel, the U.S., and their Gulf State enablers?
The same day as Trump’s April Fool’s address, The Washington Post reported that the president was considering and personally involved in the planning of a childishly complex—Under Seige-meets Delta Force-meets Rambo—commando raid of Iran’s Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow nuclear facilities. Not only will America’s best Tier 1 operators be tasked with locating and seizing the 1,000 pounds of enriched uranium buried hundreds of feet underground, but paratroopers will first need to build a runway, then fly in earth movers, excavators, and industrial excavation/blasting equipment to reach the hardened underground storage cylinders that we were told Operation Midnight Hammer destroyed in 2025. What could go wrong?
Bibi and Trump are not just in deep water now. They are, as we surfers say, “caught inside.” There is not only another set on the horizon, but as operations Millennium (1942), Chastise (1943), Gomorrah (1943, Tidal Wave (1943), Double Strike (1943), Hurricane (1944) Meetinghouse (1945), Rolling Thunder (1965–1968), Arc Light (1965–1973), Menu (1970), and Linebacker (1972) demonstrated, they cannot bomb their way out of this mess. Sooner or later, Bibi will need boots on the ground and they won’t be Israeli, Saudi, Qatari or Emirati—they will be American. Yesterday, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth purged the highly respected Army Chief of Staff General Randy George and others. The Bourbon and Brylcreem Crusader made it clear that he and the president will brook no dissent. According to former CIA officer and State Department counter terrorism official Larry Johnson, “General George was forced to resign because he did not support putting US troops on the ground.”
Our draft-dodging president and his blood thirsty Secretary of Defense can only cover up U.S. casualties in the Middle East for so long. If they send our nation’s best commandos and elite others to die needlessly in this ego-driven and ill-planned effort, one day there will be accountability. America’s craven political, military, economic, and media leaders should remember that even the person who makes the coffee on the pirate ship is part of the conspiracy and Sean Hannity, Lara Loomer, Ben Shapiro, and Mark Levin won’t be able to save them.
